Awesome drawing man. The blue energy also make it look like he's powered by some kind of energy or something. Though if you hadn't mention the steampunk I would't have notice cause of the lack of the typical steampunk aesthetics he looks more alien than steampunk. Overall it looks great, hope you win! :D
